Now for those of you who voted for Mr. Soetoro ask yourself, is this the "Change" I was "Hoping" for? Take my word for it, I absolutely hate Dubya but this guy is like Dubya on steroids!
What happened to:
- posting all new bills on line for the public to review for 10 days - ehh we're not going to do that.
- getting the troops home from Iraq - I don't think so.
- transparency - the DNC has spent over $1,000,000 burying all of Barkey's records to include his KINDERGARTEN RECORDS? - move along nothing to see here.
- lobbyists "won't find a job in the white house" - well except for Ron Klain, Joe Podesta, Patrick Gaspard
Let's not forget that Goldman Sachs contribute over $900,000 to Barkey's campaign......
That's just a few that come to mind in less than 10 seconds. Just out of curiousity, why is it we never see his mother anywhere? Could it be because she's a white as carper the ghost and all of the black voters think he's really a black man?

Lots of them folks in Kalifornia too. Some black bears wind up dead; because eating Yogi's nutts makes their dicks hard as shark fin soup does. I can turn on the news and hear about those foreigners getting busted by Fish & Game wardens on occasion...

That is GREAT news Ian! You're going to be a great dad; I can just imagine the adventures in the wild outdoors the two of you will have over the yrs...and of course, it will change everthing, all at once. When mine were younger the word that came best to describing it was: RELENTLESS. Not judging it one way or the other (of course all of it is "good"), just the fact of how much time and energy is devoted to the ultimate activity for any of us, period (raising the kids).
Hmmm--nice name for a girl. Of course, I could suggest "William Tell..." (twofer: first and middle!), but that would be a little too close to the Welsh...perhaps "Kevin", or "Michael", or "Keith"...?

Let me first say, I am in no way condoning the obnoxious runaway posting of Mr. oh-um-...whatever.I find his posts annoying. I personally haven't posted myself in some time, preferring to just lurk and read the posts, but lately I find myself just skipping the forum entirely because it has strayed so far off topic (the Grateful Dead--remember them?).
As for the "chimp" reference, I don't see that as racist in itself. Remember the last clown was likened a chimp and such for 8 years-- my favorite example being the medical marijuana episode of
The Simpsons, where Homer said something to the effect of "I could blow smoke right in his monkey-face, and there's nothing he can do about it.".
I guess I'm just saying, there's enough real racial trouble, that one needn't go looking for more where it doesn't necessarily exist.Make of this what you will. I'm going back to the LL shout box. I'll check back here in a day or so to see if this is a Dead forum again.

After I had posted, I read yours. I see where you were going with it- a means to hasten the troll's expulsion.
When I had crafted my response my main focus was elsewhere. I was thinking only of that slippery slope of "crying wolf" about racism. I was championing free speech not the poster.
I would gladly defend your honour Sir Tell, if someone were to scrutinize your use of "brothers". I'm sure you referred to siblings.
ANYWAY, I'm off to figure out which source of
today's Watkins Glen show to listen to.

I'm listening to soundcheck now ...lol. I cant remember what it sounded like 36 yrs ago. I was too high. Was hot as hell but then it rained. maybe that was the next day? oh well the pot got smoked and the acid disappeared and all was well.

Son, I'm not the biggest fan of the "O-man" myself, but this is a music forum, You are not wining any converts ! Sorry, but you remind me of the "born agains" , who used to shout at us with megaphones , at Dead concerts . Probably turned more people away form "God", than "saved" them . And, it was of course,more about their own "look at me, I'm a martyr !",than any real attempt to bring God into any ones life .

I am glad I stopped going to shows after 74....well, I did see the boys at the Warfield in the City during the early 80's...never saw any born agains...used to see the hara krishna (I hope I misspelled it), and the Scientologists, they'd scoop up morons at GRATEFUL DEAD concerts like sprinkles on an ice cream cone...
